After a bit of looking around I managed to get Google Calendar into my new LG Viewty.
Here's the blow-by-blow account of how to do it:
- Sign up for a Free account on ScheduleWorld
- Configure ScheduleWorld to sync with your Google Calendar (Lots of info around the place on this)
- Go to your Viewty Settings->Phone Settings->Connectivity->Synch Service->Server synch. centre and Click "Add New"
- Here are the details I used (case sensitive):
Profile Name : schedule
Host Address : http://sync.scheduleworld.com/funambol/ds
SyncML proxy : 80
Username : [ScheduleWorld username]
Password : [ScheduleWorld password]
Contacts : Off
Calendar : On
Calendar Name : cal
To do : off
Memo : off
Sync type : Normal
Access Point : 3 (Or whatever your access point is - I'm with "3" so it's set up as "3" on my viewty)
Sync mode : Manual
After that Select "schedule" and click the "Activate" button, the hitc the "Back" button and click "Connect"
I haven't tried this with the contacts, memo or to-do as I wasn't interested in them.
Maybe someone else can try them and post the results here as a comment....

I followed your instructions, but don't seem to able to connect to the scheduleworld server.
Did you put in 80 as the Proxy - when I left that out it wouldn't work for me (although is should have) ?
Could it be the network you're on ?
I just got it working !
In my case it is just the other way around: I have to leave the Proxy blank to get it working. May be dependent on the network provider. I am on Vodafone in the Netherlands.
Now have to tackle another problem: my google calendar contains more then 100 items (origin from my PDA via Goosync) so I get the message that the Viewty's memory is full. Have to find a simple way to minimize the Google calendar data to one month.
I discovered that there is an option in Schedulworlt to limit the number of items, to prevent syncing of historical items and to limit the number of months.
preferences page -> click 'Edit Settings' -> look at the miscellaneous tab.
Excellent stuff. Thanks for the extra info!
hi, for some reason I just can't find this settings screen on my viewty: phone settings -> connectivity -> ?? "network settings, access points, usb connection mode, streaming settings, java settings, tv out" but there's no route to the screen you've mentioned.
any assistance would be most appreciated.
